New Additions to the Family

Ziggy and Marley

When I was on vacation, I adopted two new members in to the family — Ziggy and Marley. They're brother and sister cats that I got from the Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals. I'd forgotten how much fun, and how annoying sometimes, having little kittens around can be. They really do keep you on your toes as they slice and dice your hands and feet!

The boy, Ziggy, is a little hellion. I caught him scaling the mantel the other night on his way to the very top! He also likes to play fetch. It's lots of fun playing with him until you've grown tired of throwing the toy twenty times and he just keeps bringing his toy back to you and claws your feet and legs until you either throw it again or put the toy away.

Marley is a lot more reserved than her brother, but a sweet kitty and loves to chase after her brother when he's up to no good. Marley's not opposed to getting up on the mantel either. I'm pretty sure it was Marley that eat the bamboo plant I had up there.

Once I have time to go through all the pictures I've been taking, I'll start a new Gallery for them.
