My true first computer
Leave it to your oldest friend to point out a few inaccuracies in your memory. When I compared my new iBook to my "first" computer, I used my first PC, which was the first computer I bought. In truth the first computer I ever owned was a Commodore 64. Now back then computers didn't even have hard drives. I used a tape drive to load programs from an audio cassette every time I want to use it. Eventually I upgrade to a 4.25" floppy drive that probably weighed 3 times what my laptop weighs! And the stats on the Commodore 64? Well, it had 64K of RAM and a processor cranking at a whole 1 MHz. Wow!
