About Me

I've been a professional graphic designer for 10 years (check out my Maine design company site), I entered the field at a time of change; hand paste up had given way to computers. My ease with computers served me well and have been a part of my life before most. The first computer I every touched was a old Radio Shack machine with a tiny built-in monochrome monitor. It didn't do all that much, but for start I was hooked. The first computer I owned was a Commodore 64. No hard drive, not even a disk drive, just a cassette recorder, which I was trilled with because I would have to type in the program every time I wanted it to run. Hard to image with the gigabytes of hard drive space I have now. Even my first PC had a smaller hard drive than I now have RAM. DVD-R, desktop printers, laser printers, FTP, HTTP, thousands of useful programs, your entire music collection in you iPod, incredible processing power capable of editing video, and it all is cheaper than when I first started buying technology. It's been a heck of a ride. And it ain't over yet. Technology is in every part of our lives today. It takes effort to remove yourself from it. Where can't you be connected today? do you see it getting any less connected. Not likely, so we need to make a place for technology in our lives or it will make one for us. I'd rather decide.
